The Ensemble had everything we were looking for! A two-bedroom with wrap-around corner windows, a diagonal entry into the space, a master bedroom that you passed through to get to the closet and bathroom, and a view. Pool view from the master bedroom of the Broadway apartmentĪfter listening to our comments about the three floor plans that we asked to see, Hannah offered a fourth apartment tour, because she thought it was better suited to our wishes. This two-bedroom apartment did have a view of the outdoor pool on the 5th floor, though. I also felt that the layout of the master bedroom was a little more closed off since you walked into a hallway facing the bathroom first, then turned left past the closet before reaching the bedroom. This apartment is entered through a diagonal hallway, initially making it feel more open that the Vignette plan, although the Broadway did not have windows that wrapped around the corner, so it felt a little less open once I got into the space. Next we walked down the hall to a large back corner apartment with the Broadway floor plan. The Lumen, a tour of the furnished Overture apartment My mom loved this one, but kept in mind the need for a second bedroom. The bedroom and the main living area both had great views of Euclid Avenue and the 5th floor outdoor bar space, complete with fire pit and grills. This apartment would be fantastic for a single professional or an older “empty-nest” couple who loves to live out on the town. Overture has a one-bedroom floor plan that includes a den. This was a model apartment, complete with furniture, which really helped us see how well furniture would fit in the space. Next, we went across the hall to see the Overture layout. Although this was not the master bedroom, it was my favorite! So much light, plus a view of the theatre district! The front bedroom had a corner bank of windows since it was in the part of the building that protrudes out over the sidewalk below. Our apartment tour started on the 9th floor with the Vignette layout, a two bedroom, two bath corner apartment overlooking both Euclid and 17th Street, with a balcony off the kitchen area on the 17th Street side. They also have refrigerated storage for meal boxes and flower deliveries. The package delivery area and the mailroom were just as sleek as the lobby. We met with our tour guide, Hannah, who took us through the main floor, showcasing the lobby, the entrance to the climate-controlled parking area, the mail room, and even the service elevator that you would use to move all your furniture in. The beautifully decorated lobby looks out onto the main entrances of the Connor and Palace Theatres. The concierge desk is placed in front of a gorgeous mosaic of 22,000 tiles, which was just installed a few days prior upon its arrival from Spain. Upon entering the first set of doors, you are met with a Butterfly MX Video Entrance security system to gain entry to the lobby. So when the opportunity came up to tour, I didn’t hesitate! I invited my mom, who has been looking at condos in her need to downsize, and we headed downtown. In addition to the Cleveland Play House, other residence programs include the Great Lakes Theatre Company, Cleveland Ballet, DanceCleveland, the Cleveland International Film Festival, Cleveland State University theater programs, and more! I have also seen fantastic productions by the Baldwin Wallace University theater department, Disney Musicals in Schools, Shining Star CLE, and Playhouse Square’s Dazzle Awards, their own high school theater competition.Īs someone who goes in and out of the theatres frequently, I’ve been watching construction on The Lumen for a while, and I was intrigued by the pictures I saw in my Playbills. In addition to the 5 main theatres (Connor, State, Ohio, Allen and Hanna) the Square also includes the Cleveland Play House, which uses the Outcalt and Helen theaters, the Upper Allen theater, and the Westfield Studio theater. Playhouse Square is the largest performing arts center in the nation outside of New York. Cleveland, Ohio’s Playhouse Square Theatre District has its own chandelier hanging over Euclid Avenue.Įuclid Avenue in Cleveland, Ohio is THE place to be if you are a theater person. The glass front building is 34 stories high and reflects the Keith Building across the street. This time, their email was offering tours of their brand new luxury apartment building, The Lumen. As a Playhouse Square season ticket holder who is totally missing theatre right now, I open every email that they send me.
